10 year anniversary of this model being made, hence the red 'X' at the 10 o'clock position. Eberhard are famous for making the first chronograph wristwatch in 1919, they are also famous for making the '4-register horizontal' chronograph; Dial 1: minute counter, Dial 2: hour counter, Dial 3: 24-hour time, Dial 4: seconds hand. The date at 12 o'clock position is quite prominent and very easy to see, and the contrast of the red centre chrono seconds hand, sub-dial hands and 'X' make this a very easily read watch.
